When a guest asks me where to sit with a view of the harbour, I name Senequier Saint-Tropez. It is a restaurant, and the harbour view is the first reason I recommend it. I like a place that gives you something to look at while you eat, and here the view is part of the meal.
I suggest Senequier for two moments of the day in particular: breakfast and lunch. Breakfast is a calm way to begin a day in Saint-Tropez, and I would take it with the harbour in front of me before the day has made its plans. Lunch is the other occasion I have in mind, when a long, unhurried table with a view suits the pace of a holiday.
One practical point. Senequier is not a place that can be reserved in advance, so I would plan to go in person and allow a little flexibility on timing. If you have a certain moment in mind, tell me, and I will gladly advise you on when to go.
I have kept this recommendation simple on purpose, because I do not wish to promise more than I know. Come for the view, for breakfast or for lunch, and let the harbour do the rest.
